Comfort Cards is a 60-conversation card deck that makes it easier to take that first step. Each card carries a thought-provoking question on one side and an inspiring message on the other, blending Tagalog and English. The goal isn't to have the perfect answer. It's to create a space where everyone feels safe, heard, and valued to share their thoughts and experiences.
Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to use your Comfort Cards:
- Bunot (Draw)
Before starting, someone in the group must read the disclaimer card included in the deck. Then, shuffle the cards and place them down. Whoever feels ready goes first, take turns drawing one card at a time. - Tanong (Ask)
Read the question on the colored side aloud; to the group, or quietly to yourself if you're reflecting solo. - Express (Feel & Connect)
Say what's on your mind and heart. Share your experiences. Listen actively and with intention when others are speaking; not to respond, but to truly understand. After sharing, anyone who feels moved to respond or add their own thoughts is welcome to. Once everyone who wants to share has spoken, flip the card and read the comforting message on the other side out loud, together.
These cards work best when everyone comes with openness and without judgment. Let the conversation flow naturally and genuinely.
